Food Hygiene & Safety Course Aids Business Registration

There are high numbers of small business start ups every year.  This all started back in the years when we had Covid and the country went mad.  All the firms that had to furlough employees and self employed folk reaslised the benefit of being registered to pay tax on their earnings qualified them for government funds to keep them going when they couldn’t trade.   Take a home baking business as an example.  In the uk one of the major things that newbie business owners overlook is sourcing appropriate insurance to cover home baking and selling to the public.  Although it is true to say that there is no actual legal requirement to take out insurance, common sense tells you that it is irresponsible to do any dealings without that security blanket, should something go wrong.

You don’t need any specific licence to sell homemade cakes and products but you must obtain a food hygiene certificate and then register with your local authority.  the best way to approach this is to register with a college and take a food safety and hygiene package which trains a candidate in the latest rules governing the subject; food allergy training; an awreness of health and safety;  legislation relating to the service of food and beverages.  There are many more topics but these are basics for someone wanting to register for a home baking business.
